Where do I even begin with this wedding? Capturing the love story of one of my closest friends—and the aunt to my kiddos—was such an incredible honor. Honestly, it was more than I could have ever asked for.
The day started on their stunning farm, a place that’s not just a location but a part of their story. April and Clint shared a quiet, heartfelt first look there, just the two of them. These early moments, free from the hustle of the day, gave them a chance to take it all in before the celebrations began. And for me? It was an absolute dream. Being a horse girl and farm girl at heart, having the chance to photograph them in a setting that was so deeply connected to who they are made my heart swell.
From their farm, they moved seamlessly to Starling Lane, located on Vancouver Island BC, a venue that was the perfect extension of their vision. With its charming, picturesque setting, it provided the ideal backdrop for their intimate ceremony and afternoon tea reception. Sarah from Fresh View Events worked her magic, bringing every thoughtful detail to life. She created a space that was warm, personal, and effortlessly beautiful, exactly what April and Clint wanted.
The reception felt like something out of a storybook, with large trees canopying the area, creating an intimate and magical atmosphere. Surrounded by nature, the gathering was a heartfelt celebration that reflected who April and Clint are as a couple. Every element, from the décor to the tiny details, held meaning and felt incredibly personal. You could feel the love in every corner.
Being there to witness and capture their day, surrounded by the people who love them most, was truly something special. It wasn’t just about the big moments—it was about the quiet glances, the shared laughter, and the feeling of home whenever they were together. Their wedding was a celebration of love, authenticity, and the joy of being surrounded by those who mean the most. It’s a day I will cherish forever.
